Natto Daikon Radish Soba. Great recipe for Natto & Grated Daikon Radish Soba. A coworker from Hiroshima at my old work place taught me about natto soba. I wanted to eat a version with vegetables, and without the natto sinking to the bottom of the bowl!
Mix the natto with the sauce that's included in the package. Combine the grated daikon, natto, and shredded kombu, and it's done. You can enjoy it as is or top it on rice. You can have Natto Daikon Radish Soba using 8 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you cook that.
Ingredients of Natto Daikon Radish Soba
- You need 100 g of Soba noodles.
- You need 1 L of water.
- It's 1 pk of Natto.
- It's 100 CC of (dipping noodle soup diluted with water as directed).
- Prepare 1 inch of Daikon radish.
- Prepare 1/2 inch of sliced Carrot.
- It's 2 of seeds of Black sesame.
- It's of Cut Nori seaweed (Optional).
Pour into to the bowl with the soba. Add the natto, and top with the grated daikon. This is best made with handmade noodles and dashi stock made from scratch, but it's an easy recipe so please forgive the shortcuts. Use the brands or types of soba, daikon radish, natto and nameko mushrooms that you prefer.
Natto Daikon Radish Soba instructions
- Boil water and put soba noodles to cook as directed on your package..
- Rinse and strain the water and put noodles in a container..
- Mix natto until it gets sticky..
- Grate Daikon radish and drain excess water..
- Shape grated daikon into a big ball (for bottom of snowman) and a small ball (for the head)..
- Put black sesame seeds as eyes and carrot stick as a nose..
- Place Natto and Daikon snowman on the Soba noodles.
- Pour noodle soup over noodles..
- Place green onion and Nori seaweed as toppings..
Recipe by Risa papa I always enjoy a soba bowl like this. Easy to make and very satisfying. I happened to have natto beans and fresh radishes, and they always make a great addition to my soba bowl. Soba noodles are traditionally eaten on New Year's Eve. Please don't be mistaken, that is not the only day they're eaten.
