- Wash and soak urad dal and rice separately for 6 hrs or over night.

- In same mixer jar add drained urad dal and grind into smooth paste using little water..
- Transfer urad dal batter in a bowl of rice batter..
- Add salt to taste and mix batter well..
- Now add 1tsp cumin seeds,1 medium chopped onion,1chopped green chilli,1 tsp coriander powder and 2-3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves to batter..
- Mix all the ingredients well in batter..
- Heat 1 tbsp oil on high heat in a deep pan,spread the oil in the pan..
- Lower the heat add 2-3 large laddle of batter in a pan..
- Gently spread and even out the batter from the top with the back of the laddle..
- Cover the pan and cook on low flame,until the base is crispy and golden..
- When you see the edges are cooked,turn over the dibba roti carefully with spatula and cook again for few minutes..
- Transfer the cooked roti in a plate.Same way prepare dibba roti with remaining batter..
- Slice the dibba roti and serve with any chutney or pickle..
